Our Story

Born in Texas, Made with Intention.

Earth Angel by Brittany began in 2021 in the kitchen of my small North Austin, Texas home.

But in some ways, the story started years before I ever poured my first candle.

As a freshman at Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, I became the university’s first Environmental Science major. I spent those years thinking about sustainability, advocating for greener communities, and taking that work from Austin all the way to Paris, France. Somewhere along the way, the idea of creating a refillery stayed with me: beautiful, useful products that people could enjoy without constantly throwing away the vessel they came in.

Years later, that idea found its way back to me.

In the summer of 2021, I started teaching myself the art of candle making from my North Austin kitchen. There were plenty of trials, plenty of errors, and definitely some candles that never needed to leave that kitchen. But I kept learning.

At first, I made candles for myself and gave them to friends and family. Then, with more than a few pep talks from my dear friend Dennis, I decided it was time to share what I was creating with everyone else.

Earth Angel by Brittany officially launched in the fall of 2021 as a candle company.

And my OG customers know we have come a long way since then.

From Candles to a Lifestyle

By 2024, Earth Angel by Brittany had grown beyond candles and into the vision I had carried with me since college: a home and self-care refillery.

I began popping up at more vendor markets, taking orders from home, developing body care, and creating more of the products I naturally loved using in my own life. My basement is my own professional studio now.

Because I have always loved the rituals of keeping a home.

A candle burning in the living room. Fresh sheets on the bed. A long bath at the end of the day. Soft skin before heading out. The earrings you never forget to put on. A home that smells good before company ever walks through the door.

There is something deeply Southern about those little details. It is the care we put into ourselves, our spaces, and the way we welcome people in. That spirit has followed Earth Angel from that little North Austin kitchen to our home today in Kansas City, Missouri.

Every Name Has a Story

One thing you will notice while shopping Earth Angel by Brittany is that our products do not have ordinary names.

That is intentional.

Every name has a story.

Some are named after people I love. Some come from places I have been, memories I want to keep, inside jokes, music, seasons of my life, or moments that simply deserved to become something.

Purple Rain was the candle that started it all. 1977 means something. Joshua means something. The Hrishita means something. Even the playful ones usually have a little Brittany somewhere behind them. If you see me at an event, ask me about a name.

I want you to enjoy the fragrance, the texture, and the product itself, but I also want you to feel like you are taking home a tiny piece of a story.

Refill. Reuse. Enjoy It Again.

Sustainability has never been something I added to Earth Angel because it became trendy. It was part of the idea from the beginning.

Our refill philosophy encourages you to keep the beautiful vessels already in your home and give them another life. From refillable candles and body scrubs to reusable glass bottles and thoughtfully selected home goods, I want Earth Angel products to be beautiful enough to display and useful enough to keep.

My goal has always been to make low-waste choices feel accessible, convenient, and luxurious enough to naturally become part of everyday life.

Because sustainability does not have to look boring.

And luxury does not have to mean wasteful.

Today, Earth Angel by Brittany is a collection of candles, bath and body care, home fragrance, and everyday essentials inspired by the things I have always loved: self-care, a beautifully kept home, Southern hospitality, sustainability, and a really good story.

The brand has grown. I have grown. The formulas are better. The candles are better. The vision is bigger.

But the heart of it is still very much the same woman standing in her North Austin kitchen in 2021, figuring out how to pour a candle and wondering whether anyone besides her friends would want one.
